Glasgow’s Corinthian Club reopens this week following an eight-month, multimillion-pound refurbishment.
One room has been given over to Sunday Herald illustrator Adrian McMurchie. Normally seen sketching eateries for the magazine’s restaurant reviews, McMurchie has painted a mural of the streets surrounding the Corinthian Club on the walls. Another room will be full of specially commissioned images by Vogue photographer Peter Lavery. The refurbishment of the 230-year-old building has been led by Glasgow design company Graven Images.
As well as a casino on the ground floor, other additions include a mosaic floor made from more than half a million tiles. The club reopens on Friday.
