To anyone that isn’t Scottish, the idea of Burns night is a strange one! A night dedicated to a historical figure seems normal enough – after all we have Guy Fawkes night; all the saint’s days; I’m sure we all hope for one of our own one day – but the idea of addressing and stabbing a mixture of offal that is squeezed into sheep’s stomach is somewhat … bizarre?

However if you happen to be in the delightful position of being able to afford a holiday after Christmas, then there is something rather special about being in Glasgow on 25thJanuary.
